PISTOL CORNER of November 10, 2011
In the last month in the Scheck Pro Base the events of practice and tournaments happens very fast and all in a positive way. It is not easy to choose from where to start to comment them !!
I want to start with Florian, a young coach that was in the court with me and was helping so much at the atp challenger in Eckental where, for the first time, we went as a Scheck Pro Base team. It will be so important for me to contribute to the formation of the young coaches like Florian to share my advise and to develope inside the Pro Base the highest level of tennis culture.

| In the last month Marius Copil had some good matches against Tommy Haas in Vienna and Dustin Brown in Eckental ( both lost but with good level ) and he got to the second round in Ortisei where he beat the italian hope Matteo Trevisan 63 62 and lost to Bemelmans. Peter Gojowczyk got to the semifinals at a future 15 + H in France and he is getting closer to play for the first time at the Qualies of the Australian open . Lars Uebel is really focused on him and very succesful. Bravo Lars. In this period of time I am very focused to show the players the difference between result and performance. If for example you are an athlete of long jump and your personal best result is 8 meters and you go to the competition and you jump 8 . 20 you can see that your performance is great as you did your personal best jump. then is coming an opponent that is jumping 8 meters 30 and you loose. so the performance is good but the result is bad. The difference in tennis is that in long jump you have numbers to value your performance but not in tennis. So there is a need of trust between the coach and the player and what i learned in many years, if you keep the performance always high at the end you will have for sure good results as well.
