Mikhail Kukushkin from Kazakhstan joined the facilities of the Scheck Pro Base in Munich for a one week preparation on clay for the next ATP-Tournaments in Rome, Nice and the French Open at Roland Garros in Paris.
Mikhail Kukushkin currently No. 53 of the ATP World Ranking is 24 years old and originally from Volgograd Russia. Since 2008 he is playing for the country of Kazakhstan and reached 2011 with his team the Davis Cup World Group Quarterfinals for the first time in the history of this country.
In 2010 he was the second tennis player in the history of Kazakhstan who won a singles title at an ATP Grand Prix Tournament at St.Petersburg – Russia. In 2012 Kukushkin was the first player from Kazakhstan who ever reached the fourth round of last 16 in singles at a Grand Slam Tournament. Mikhail advanced to the 4th round of the Australian Open in Melbourne defeating Guillermo Garcia Lopez of Spain, Victor Troicki (Serbia) and Gael Monfils (France) before loosing to Andy Murray from Great Britain (ATP 4).
Mikhail Kukushkin joined the Scheck Pro Base with his countryman Yuri Schukin. Mikhail: “ I like the professional organization here at the Scheck Pro Base and in a very short distance I have all what I need – tennis courts, gym, restaurant, hotel, sports shop – overall a perfect facility with a very high standard.
